Pamiya A. Opoku, MHRM

Pamiya A. Opoku is an author, wellness speaker, and community builder who helps people

move through life transitions using mindset, movement, and intentional conversation. She is

the founder of The WalkingHour, a Chicago-based wellness initiative that uses walking as a form

of reflection, regulation, and spiritual connection.

After a profound personal transformation—including a 100-pound natural weight loss and

navigating life-altering moments that reshaped her relationship with identity, discipline, and

self-trust—Pamiya began sharing her story to help others reconnect with themselves and move

forward with greater clarity and purpose. Her work centers on the belief that walking is not just

physical movement, but a posture of healing, prayer, and alignment.

Through her upcoming book Good. Better. Becoming., group walks, speaking engagements, and

coaching experiences, Pamiya creates spaces where people are invited to slow down, listen

inward, and cultivate joy through intentional living.
